Witness the area’s longest running original short play festival as it
continues to showcase the breadth of talent in the Capital Region! Music.
Murder. Love. Loss. The importance of being one’s self. All these themes
are explored with vivid detail in the 14th annual Confetti Fest at the
Albany Masonic Hall!

“Mermalion,” written by Stephen Henel with direction and music by Sean
T. Baldwin, is an offbeat mash-up of The Little Mermaid and Pygmalion. This
culture-clash comedy tells the story of one mermaid who embraces high
society theatrical fame for a heavy price: she is forbidden from singing
ever again!

In “A Good Argument Could Be Made,” by Laura Darling and Joe Plock and
directed by Monica Murphy, the eternal battle between good and evil is
waged between and angel and a demon on two opposing shoulders. But what’s
Left for them once they start to wonder who’s Righteous?

“Lovebird” written by Stephen Henel and directed by Joe Plock, is a
chilling police drama about a crime of passion that exposes something dark
within the human spirit.

“Sissies” by Nate Beynon, directed by Chris Kowalski, tells the story of
a gay actor trying to make his roommate understand how hard it is for him
to make a living without becoming a stereotype.

“Aftermath,” written by Julie Demers and directed by Linda D. Shirey
deals with the pain and loss left in the wake of a deadly attack. Despite
their differences, two parents of victims help each other through the
grieving process by sharing their confusion, anger, and compassion.
