*Immersive, site-specific performance at Ten Broeck Mansion in Albany*

Known for its innovative staging in nontraditional theater spaces,
including "The Little Foxes" at Ten Broeck Mansion in November 2017 and
"The Seagull" at Mabee Farm in May 2018, NorthEast Theatre Ensemble will
return to Ten Broeck Mansion in April 2019 for Oscar Wilde's "An Ideal
Husband." Details on dates, ticketing and more can be at the bottom of this
announcement.

This delightful comedy from 1893 brings Wilde's razor-sharp wit and style
to tackle the question, still timely today, of whether a successful
politician should be held accountable for cutting ethical corners to get
ahead early in his career.

Built in 1797, Ten Broeck Mansion offers a perfect environment for the
site-specific, immersive production. Audiences will have the opportunity to
step into a luxurious, elegant household like the ones Wilde's characters
would have lived in, and follow the action of the play throughout the
historic home. Light fare, tea and cocktails will also be served, as part
of the invitation to share in the story as fully as possible.

The production is directed by Siena College professor Dr. Krysta Dennis, voted
Best Director in the Capital Region by The Alt (2018). Costume Design is by
Charlie Barnett, recipient of a regional BroadwayWorld award for Best
Costume Design (Berkshires, 2018).

The cast features professional actors Tony Pallone, Dennis Schebetta and Janet
Hurley Kimlicko, founder of NorthEast Theatre Ensemble (NETE), appearing
under the auspices of the Actors' Equity Association Members' Project Code.
Also featured are NETE company members Suzanna Bornn, Shae Fitzgerald,
Travis Fealy and Molly Waters; plus regional talents Colleen Lovett, Amy
Kerr, Shawn Barnes, Catherine Seeley, Karen Christina Jones, Patrick Flood,
Steve Maggio, James Wild and Ren Kris. Also featured behind the scenes
are Michael
Glantzis, assistant director; Angelina Castro, stage manager; and Mike
Sinkora, props.
As an additional twist, cast members Janet Hurley Kimlicko and Colleen
Lovett will be switching roles during the run of the performance, playing
both the devoted Lady Gertrude Chiltern and the scheming Mrs. Cheveley.
