[Theater Voices]

Theater Voices will hold auditions for a staged reading of “I Ought  
To Be In Pictures”.

This warm-hearted comedy by Neil Simon, will be directed by Judy  
Spevack.  Actors will audition from scripts.

Location
Steamer No. 10 Theatre, 500 Western Avenue, Albany - corner of West  
Lawrence Street.
Times
Sunday, December 4th - 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Monday, December 5th - 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Cast Breakdown
Herb, a once-successful Hollywood scriptwriter.  ( Early to mid 50’s)
Steffy, a movie makeup woman, and Herb’s off-and-on sleep-in  
girlfriend. ( Mid 40’s)
Libby, Herb’s daughter, who has trekked to Hollywood from Brooklyn,  
where Herb walked out on his wife, daughter and son sixteen years  
earlier. ( Late teens to 20s )
Synopsis
Herb Tucker, a once-successful Hollywood scriptwriter, now suffering  
from writer’s block, is suddenly visited by his distant and almost- 
forgotten past in the person of his 19 year old daughter, who has  
bussed and hitchhiked to Hollywood to meet her father, in the hopes  
that he will find her a job in the movies. In the father-daughter  
relationship that blossoms, they begin to discover a great deal about  
each other and about themselves.

February 10, 11, 12 at Steamer No. 10 Theatre.
