COLONIAL LITTLE THEATRE ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR DICKENS’ A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Johnstown-  The Colonial Little Theatre (CLT), One Colonial Court in 
Johnstown, rings in the holiday season with Charles Dickens’ A CHRISTMAS 
CAROL, adaptation by Terry Rabine, the classic tale of how Ebenezer Scrooge 
is guided through the past, present, and future to find the true meaning of 
the holidays. Complete with ghosts, Victorian carols, and Tiny Tim, A 
CHRISTMAS CAROL is a must for the entire family.

Director Aaron Flynn announces auditions will be held Sunday, October 15 at 
1:00 pm and Tuesday, October 17 at 6:30 pm at the playhouse on Colonial 
Court in Johnstown.  The production will run Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, 
December 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 2006.

Candidates for roles may prepare a one-minute monologue and will be reading 
from the script. All those auditioning will be required to sing 16 bars of a 
Christmas carol of their choice, a cappella. This production of A CHRISTMAS 
CAROL is a high energy, fast moving, delightful ensemble, requiring 
versatility and creativity of all its actors. All actors will be part of the 
carolers and will be required to sing. All cast members must be available 
during Thanksgiving week and weekend.

This production requires 9 adults – 5 males and 4 females varying in age 
from 18-60. Except for the roles of Scrooge and Bob Cratchitt, all adult 
actors will be part of an ensemble playing a variety of different 
characters. CLT is also looking for 10 children, 5 boys and 5 girls, ages 
6-16 years old. All children will play more than one role.
