All tied up in a holiday bow, PLAID TIDINGS brings back the 4 lovable guys
from FOREVER PLAID to sing their special blend of 1950s harmony. Filled with
Christmas standards that have been "Plaid-erized," the boys are back to do
their Christmas Special with a mission to put a little harmony into a
discordant world. Sprinkled among the songs are a riotous three-minute and
eleven second version of "The Ed Sullivan Show" featuring The Rockettes, the
Chipmunks and The Vienna Boys Choir and a Plaid Caribbean Christmas which
puts the "Day O" into Excelsis.

Production Dates:

Rehearsal start: November 6, 2007

First preview: November 30, 2007

Run closes: December 30, 2007 (no performance Christmas)

Seeking:

(4) Males - 20's-early 30's - all with great comic timing, experience with
harmony singing, dancing, juggling and other "tricks" welcome and
encouraged. All actors with former "PLAID" experience especially welcome
(but not necessary).

FRANCIS - leader and caretaker of the group. He has confidence and charm,
but is as humble as they come. Voice: romantic crooner. Second tenor-Lyric
Baritone.

SPARKY - The clown, the scamp, "cut up" of the group. Still has a slight
speech impediment and wears a retainer. Loves to perform, tell stories and
jokes. Has a big heart. Voice: Baritone

JINX - still the shy one. He is mostly terrified. He has to be reminded what
comes next and where to stand. Gets nose bleeds when he sings above an "A."
He has become more confident than when we first met him in PLAID, but has
shyness relapses. Voice: Tenor

SMUDGE - the worrier. Has to always be sure that everything is right. Afraid
the audience won't like him. Although he has gotten much of his fear, he
can't
figure out how they've ended up in front of an audience to do this Christmas
Special and this starts his anxiety all over again. Voice: Bass.
