Choreographer/Movement Teacher

 

Needed for Capital Rep's Summer Education Programs (S.T.A.R. & STAR-Lite)

 

Dates: June 25 - 29 for STAR-Lite

July 2-3 for STAR preparation

July 9 - August 12 for STAR 

(Work for 7 weeks - weekdays only except weekend of August 10-12)

 

This is a paid position for a male or female dancer/choreographer/dance
teacher who enjoys working with and teaching children ages 8-18, who would
like to build up experience working at a theatre and in an education
program.  The choreographer will assist teaching and supervise children at
the week-long STAR-Lite program (students ages 8-12) in June.  The
choreographer will teach numerous dance classes, as well as choreograph the
students' original production at S.T.A.R. (5 week theatre intensive program
for students ages 12-18) 

in July and August.  

 

-Open to college students and young professionals, 

as well as any interested dance instructor who enjoys working with students.

-Must be able to work cooperatively and creatively in a tight staff of
teachers & artists.

-Must have a love for children.

-Must have experience in dance.
