The Highlight Acting Troupe will be holding auditions for its upcoming production of "Hansel and Gretel" by Lillian and Roert Masters on Friday, January 15, 2009 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, January 18, at 2 p.m.  With the cupboard bare, the stepmother leaves Hansel and Gretel deep in the woods to fend for themselves. Their playmates set off in search of them, but are captured and turned into a gingerbread fence. Hansel and Gretel are also caught, but manage to outwit the witch. The stepmother returns, remorseful at having left the children, and all go home laden with baskets of jewels.  The cast includes 2 adult males, 2 adult females and 9 children (boys and girls) between the ages of 8 and 14.  Auditions will be held at the Raymertown Lutheran Church, 27 Mason Lane, Raymertown (about 10 miles east of the Collar City Bridge  on Rt. 7, left on Ford Rd, right on Mason Lane and the church is on the left).
