[Capdist-auditions] Auditions-Staged reading of Under Milk Wook

THEATER VOICES will hold auditions
for a staged reading of “Under Milk Wood”, by Dylan Thomas, directed  
by Brian Massman.



Location:Steamer No. 10 Theatre, 500 Western Avenue, Albany - corner  
of West Lawrence Street.

Times:
     Sunday December 13, 3:00pm-5:00pm
    Monday December 14, 7:00pm-9:00pm

Please arrive as close to start time as possible and be prepared to  
stay until the end of auditions.  Actors will be asked to read scenes  
from the play and to sing something short and simple, a cappella.   
Happy Birthday would suffice.  This is not a musical, but there is  
some singing.
Needed: 3 men, 3 women.  All ages.  Each performer will portray  
several characters.


"Under Milk Wood" takes us on a midnight-to-midnight visit to a Welsh  
fishing village and into the intimate dreams of its inhabitants. In  
lyrical, sometimes racy, and humorous prose, the vignettes are  
threaded together by the Onlooker, who conjures up characters and  
experiences in a cascade of impassioned language, and threads their  
lives together for us.
Production Dates: Feb. 5, 6, 7. 2010 (Fri.-Sun.) at Steamer No. 10
