*Casting Call:*
*Auditions to be held Friday 18 September 2009 *
Time: 7-9pm
Location: All Arts Matter, Route 32, Greenville, NY 12083
*All Arts Matter* in collaboration with *HallWay Productions* seeks actors
for the following roles:
*“Shakespeare Revisited”* by Norman Beim, Directed by Margaret E. Hall:
*William Shakespeare* – Male, aged 30 or older; must be able to do a British
accent.
*Joanne Sellers* – Female, 30’s-40’s; modern American Theatre Director –
believes strongly in bringing classics into ‘today’ and bringing “something
new” to them in the process.
*“In The Closet”* by Stephen Weston, Directed by Margaret E. Hall:
*Zac *– Male, early 20’s: attractive, built “body guard’ish” type, British
or Aussie accent a plus. He’s a rather cool, calm, collected and confident
guy.
*Jonathan* – Male, mid to late 30’s; bit of a loaner, would be ladies man
who works as a security guard at Rockefeller Plaza in NYC.
*“You’re Never Gone”* by Jay D. Hanagan, Directed by Fred Raskopf:
*Sally* – Late 50’s to mid 70’s “housewife”, shorter than shoulder length
hair, graying. Middle class American. Reading glasses (real or not) will
be used onstage. Tends to fidget a bit. Married to Dex, Kate’s mother.
*Dex* – Late 50’s to mid 70’s retired “white-collar” type, gray8ing and
slightly balding, clean shaven middle class American. Calm demeanor,
relaxed. Married to Sally, Kate’s father.
*Kate* – Late 20’s to mid 30’s soccer mom, longish hair (no grey), upper
middle class mid American. Just a slight touch of “preppie” left from
earlier in her life (college years). Sally and Dex’s daughter.
Dex and Sally must appear to be about the same age, within +/- 5 years or so
of each other, while Sally is 20ish years younger than Dex and Sally.
Together they are (visually) today’s version of the *Ozzie and
Harriet*family (or the Cunninghams from
*Happy Days*)
***For the audition, please prepare a one minute *modern* monologue of your
choosing, and be prepared to do a short cold reading if asked.
