May 1 is submission deadline for New Play Festival

JOHNSTOWN ---- May 1 is the submission deadline for the 2010 New Play Festival at Colonial Little Theatre.

 Theatre Workshop, the Colonial Little Theatre playwrights group, is seeking scripts of original plays by Capital Region authors to be presented as staged readings Nov. 12, 13, 19 and 20.

All the readings will take place at Colonial Little Theatre, 1 Colonial Court, Johnstown.

Plays of any reasonable length will be considered. Electronic submissions cannot be considered.

Believing new plays to be the lifeblood of theatre, Theatre Workshop was launched in 2006 to develop new plays for presentation as staged readings at Colonial Little Theatre, and to raise money for the theatre’s Capital Fund.
