TOWN’S ARTSAND CULTURE COMMISSION 
TO OFFER PHOTO CONTEST THIS SUMMER
Winningentries to be part of a 2011 calendar, will be on display at Grooms Tavern
Clifton Park, NY – The Town of Clifton Park’s Community Arts andCulture Commission has announced a photo contest for amateur photographers intown. Entries will be accepted between now and August 11, 2010 in the Office ofParks, Recreation and Community Affairs.
The theme for this year’s contest is “Rural Roots.”Photographs should highlight the agricultural roots of Clifton Parkas well as the support systems and historical sites related to the developmentof the town. Photos will be judged on creativity, composition, content and theinclusion of the theme.
The Community Arts and Culture Commission will choose13 winning photographs to be printed in a 2011 calendar. All winningsubmissions will also be displayed at Historic Grooms Tavern during the town’sFarm Fest weekend on Sept. 11-12. Visitors to the tavern at Farm Fest will beable to cast their vote for the fan favorite photo, which will be on the coverof the calendar.
Contest rules are available at Town Hall in the Officeof Parks, Recreation and Community Affairs, online at www.cliftonpark.org and on the CommunityArts and Culture Facebook Page. The rules, entry form and model release arealso attached below.
This is the second-annual photo contest held by the CommunityArts and Culture Commission. Last year’s contest included 13 submissionstotaling 24 photographs. The age of the participants ranged from 14 to 75. Thisyear, photographers are limited to a maximum of three photo entries each.
