Some Highlighted/Featured Roles include:(in alphabetical order)

COSETTE - beautiful daughter of Fantine; strong-willed, loving, intelligent, personable; not in any sense a "soppy" romantice heroine. Lives a comfortable, if secluded life.  Falls in love with Marius, changing her world & her  priorities.  -  B Flat(below Middle C) to High C(2 octaves above Middle C.

EPONINE - Tough, streetwise, but also sensitive, lonely  & tragic. In love with Marius, knowing that he'll never  love her. Once grown up, she moves to Paris where she falls  on hard times, yet she survives by helping her father break  the law. Sings one of the most famous songs in the show,
"On  My Own."  - F sharp(below middle C) to E.

FANTINE - Beautiful, noble girl, abandoned by her lover  & left to fend for herself & her daughter, Cosette.  Rejected by society & forced through circumstances to  become a prostitute. Consumed by poverty, hunger, cold,
loneliness, loss of pride & ultimately the end of her  life - G Flat(Below middle C) to D.

JAVERT - Antagonist to Jean Valjean. Unswerving in his  belief that men cannot change for the good.  "Once a thief,  always a thief" is his mantra. Might appear to be the  villian but on closer examination it is clear he is not  evil. Unchangeable. His attitudes are rigid &  unmoveable. He's stern & lacking in compassion. Javert  should be an actor who can convincingly stand up to Jean  Valjean.  - Low F to High F sharp.

JEAN VALJEAN - The hero. We follow his life journey.  Supposed to be stronger than other men, and so physically  should appear robust. Should be mature and paternal. The  ability to change is this roles greatest asset. Human &  compassionate. A vocally demanding role.  - Low A to High
A.

MARIUS - handsome, romantic hero. Impulsive, willful &  headstrong. His moods change according to circumstances.  Sweet & tender but also capable of great courage &  compassion. In Act 1, he plays Romeo to Cosette's Juliet. He  matures as a result of experiences on the barricade. Should
have a lovely, lyrical voice with a contemporary edge. Low A to High A flat.

Other Featured Roles available: Madame Thenardier,  Thenardier, Young Cosette, Young Eponine, Gavroche,  Enjolras,  Babet, Bamatabois, Brujon, Courfeyrac,  Fauchelevant, Feuilly, Foreman, Grantaire, Joly, Lesgles,

IMPORTANT - This is a SCHOOL EDITION of "LES MISERABLES".  There are no adult roles available. The School Edition cuts  a considerable amount of material from the original show.  It's divided into 30 scenes and although no "critical"  scenes or songs have been removed, it runs 25 minutes
shorter than the "official" version. A few subtle changes of  vocal pitch and loss of some verses and a few songs have  been made. But this edition will provide a powerful evening of theatre.

PLOT: Based upon Victor Hugo's 1862 novel set in early 19th century France, the plot follows the stories of the characters as they struggle for redemption &  revolution.

REHEARSALS: Mondays & Fridays: 7-9:30pm AND Sundays: 5:00-8:30pm
