Welcome to Klickatat Street, home to Ramona and Beatrice Quimby and their
parents, Bob and Dorothy. Ramona is eight years old, and when the play
begins she is ready to start third grade with her good friend, Howie, and
her not-so-good friend, Susan. Everything seems normal and predictable until
Bob Quimby loses his job and struggles to quit smoking (again). To
complicate things further, her wonderful Aunt Bea decides to marry some
DORK, and she overhears her teacher describe her as a "nuisance." But this
year, she's no longer a "kindergarten baby," so the family expects more of
her. This play is a faithful adaptation of the Ramona books including scenes
from Ramona the Brave, Ramona and Her Father, and Ramona Forever.
