[Capdist-auditions] Audtions for"Thomas" an Original Play about Thomas Cole

Classics @ the Point Theatre Ensemble will be presenting Thomas, an original play based on Thomas Cole's life in the Village of Catskill, NY.  Thomas Cole was the originator of the Hudson River School of Landscape Painting. 

Seeking young actors with the capacity to handle heightened language and are comfortable with being able to portray young adults living in the 1800's. 

Auditions will be held for the following roles:

Young Thomas Cole  early 30's, not afraid of his          romantic side. Able to express his love for nature with         great ease, speaks with a British accent. Experienced actor needed with great emotional and passionate acting range.  

Young Maria Bartow  16 to 20, sweet and gentle, shy at times but overcomes her shyness because of her romantic nature and when she falls in love with Thomas Cole it is for ever.  Actress needs to have a large emotional range.   

Young Sarah Cole, Thomas' sister, 16 to 20, speaks                 with a British accent, charming young girl who loves her brother and is always challenging him.   

Young Asher Durand   Early 30's, talented artist who is       sensitive and a loyal very friend to Thomas.  Good actor needed with great emotional and passionate acting range.    

Young Frederick Church, Early 20's ambitious, wise beyond his years and very talented.  Passionate about his art.  Good actor needed.  

Also, seeking talented actors who are interested in being part of an ensemble and who are able to play a variety of roles.  
Age ranges from 30's to 60's.  Rehearsals will be on the weekends for the month of September.  

Thomas will be presented on Friday and Saturday, November 5, 6, and Sunday, November 7.  At Columbia-Greene Community College, Hudson, NY.

Auditions for Thomas are being held at Columbia Greene Community College, at the Arts Building's Theatre, on Thursday, Sept. 16, from 6pm to 9pm.  and Saturday, Sept. 18 1pm to 3pm.  Actors will read from the script.
