Home Made Theater's first play reading of the 2012-13 Shuster Series:

SEVEN MINUTES IN HEAVEN

It's a Friday night in 1995 and Monday morning homeroom is a million miles
away. Six over-stimulated, under-supervised high school students are
gathered in Margot's basement to meet her mysterious boyfriend from summer
camp -- though none of them have even seen a picture of him and he has yet
to show up. As the teens keep themselves busy with rounds of party games,
the night gives way to stolen kisses, malicious gossip, and broken hearts.
This heartbreaking, hilariously real play showcases the absurd and terrible
ecstasy of being young in America.

We are looking for one male actor for the role of Derek. While technically
14 years old, the teenagers are being read by actors in the 22-35 age range.
Derek is described as "he wears flannel, and Airwalks, and steals his
mother's cigarettes sometimes."

Actor needs to feel comfortable with his comedic timing, ability to deliver
dry humor, and some stage kissing. 

There will be 3 rehearsals, Rehearsals will be once a week between the
period of Aug 27th - the date of the performance. Actor must be available on
Sunday September 16 from 11am until 4:30pm. If interested please email a
