For the premiere production of an original script


Drums Along the Mohawk Outdoor Drama©

PLEASE NOTE: This post is a clarification of the original Dec. 28, 2011 post
American Heritage Living History Productions is casting forthe premiere production of a new original outdoor historical drama entitled: DrumsAlong the Mohawk Outdoor Drama©.
Thisproduction is an adaptation of the American classic  Drums Along the Mohawk by Walter D.Edmonds. Walter D. Edmonds was born in Boonville, NY (in nearby Oneida County,NY). His 1936 novel was made into an award winning Hollywood movie in 1939starring Henry Fonda and Claudette Coburn. Now the story of the RevolutionaryWar in the Mohawk Valley of upstate New York comes home! The production takesplace on a scenic and historical site that is the geographic epicenter ofactual events of the American Revolution.
This is a paid opportunity.
Casting for:
1.      Male lead
2.      Female lead
3.      Character roles, both male and female
4.      Teenage roles, both male and female
5.      Non speaking roles
6.      Extras
7.      Orchestral musicians
8.      Fifers and Drummers
·        No singing or dancing skills required.
·        Someroles will receive fight direction.
Also needed are:
·        Crewmembers 
·        Costumemakers /seamstresses 
·        Notravel required for auditions.
 
·       PerformanceDate: Saturday,August 4, 2012
·        Place: Mohawk, New York (Exit 30 off the NYS Thruway)
·       Please note: This is aone time performance that will be held outdoors rain or shine.
·        Tentativerehearsal schedule:  July 28through August 3, 2012 in Mohawk, NY. (Exit 30 off the NYS Thruway). Due to thetravel involved, every attempt will be made to streamline the rehearsalschedule based on the requirements of each role.
