Circle Theatre Players present a "Sampler" Workshop of Acting Techniques and
Character Work with Nan Mulleneaux, PhD

Saturday, June 16 10am-1pm at Sand Lake Center for the Arts, 2880 NY 43,
Averill Park, NY 674-2007

Nan is a lecturer at Duke University in NC, with a solid base of experience
as a director and actress on stage, in television and radio. She will draw
from the different methods of acting having studied the "outside in" method
in England, Stanislovski's "inside out", Uta Hagan's "Believe in your
circumstances", Meisner's Point of View Technique, and Michael Redgrave's
Substitution Analysis, plus some insight on newer methods from more recent
teachers. Ms. Mulleneaux believes that there is no "right method" however,
she will let you in on her favorites.

"Over the course of MANY (too many) years I have studied with over a dozen
acting teachers, all of whom had different approaches to achieving
believable acting.

In England I studied the "outside in" method - developing physical/vocal
choices first and letting that influence your character's psychology.

I thought it would be fun to share." ~Nan

Nan and husband, Phil Lance have performed for Oldcastle in Bennington
numerous times. They reside here in West Sand Lake.

The class size is limited to 20 participants and is open to older teens and
adults. There are a few slots left.

Prepaid registration of $25 can be mailed to SLCA-CTP, PO Box 179, Averill
Park, NY 12018 marked " Sampler Workshop".
