 The Last of the Mohicans Outdoor Drama 
Audition Information 
Open auditions will be held for James Fenimore Cooper'sThe Last of the Mohicans on February 29 and March 1 at the Schacht Theater on the campus of Russell Sage College in Troy, New York.  
Sign-in for an audition slot will begin at 6:00 pm and continue until 9:00 pm.  
Actors should prepare a classic monologue. 
Native American actors are encouraged to audition!    
Production Information 
 Last of the Mohicans Outdoor Drama, Inc. (LOMOD) will be producing 15 performances of James Fenimore Cooper’s classic taleThe Last of the Mohicans adapted for the stage by Michael Dufault and directed by David Bunce. 
 Performances begin onFriday, July 27th  and repeat on all Friday, Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm until closure on August 18th.  There is one matinee performance on August 4th at 2:00 pm.  
 Performances will be held at the Wild West Ranch on Rte. 9 in Lake George Village, New York.    
 Rehearsals will be conducted from June 1oth through July 2oth  in Troy, New York on the campus of Russell Sage College then move on July 22nd to the performance location in Lake George Village, New York. Actors will be paid a stipend at the completion of the run.  
Stipend rates vary with the size of the role performed. 
Last of the Mohicans Outdoor Drama, Inc. will be casting the following roles 
Supporting 
Men, women, and children of varying ages to portray soldiers, colonists, and Native Americans.  Some supportingroles will require running, hand to hand combat, dancing, and firing of reproduction muskets. 
Male or Female 
Sagamore: 70 - 75+, ancient leader of the Delaware; commanding and wise 
Male
                              
Hawkeye: 40 - 45, honest, straightforward American scout 
Major Duncan Heyward: 25 - 30, British officer and gentleman 
Sir William Johnson:42, no nonsense Irish wilderness fighter and Indian superintendent 
Captain Israel Putnam:39, adventurous and brash Connecticut Ranger 
   Female 
Willow: 30 -40, Huron leader
