** The Pillowman by Martin McDonagh
(writer/director Seven Psychopaths)

Monday and Tuesday, October 29th and 30th at 7:30 PM
Caffe Lena, 47 Phila St., Saratoga Springs

Those auditioning will be asked to read from the script. Performances will be held at Caffe Lena at the end of January/beginning of February 2013. For more information call (518) 692-9064


** Description:

With echoes of Stoppard, Kafka, and the Brothers Grimm, The Pillowman centers on a writer in an unnamed totalitarian state who is being interrogated about the gruesome content of his short stories and their similarities to a series of child murders. The result is an urgent work of theatrical bravura and an unflinching examination of the very nature and purpose of art.


** Cast:
------------------------------------------------------------
Looking for four men aged late 20’s – 60’s.
Tupolski- Lead detective
Katurian – Children’s book author
Ariel – Tupolski’s partner
Michal – Katurian’s younger brother

We will be holding auditions for smaller parts at a later date. These include 1man, 1woman, 1 boy (aged 14) 1 girl (aged 7).
