Two male singer/actors needed for January production!
Production Dates: January 11-13 and 17-20
Music rehearsals begin in October; No rehearsals over Thanksgiving,
Christmas or New Years long weekends.
We have an amazing cast, but still need two tenors or baritones to act and
sing (can be ages 20s 50s, flexible)
Both of these are part of the ensemble Dreamers or ghosts, in the story,
and do a great deal of singing, some dialogue, and will be on stage for most
of the show. Auditions will be by appointment, and parts must be cast this
week.
Contact Marietta Mitchell at <mailto:marimit at aol.com> marimit at aol.com or
call her at 283-5568 to arrange an audition.
Please come prepared to sing a song from the show in the key it is written.
Audition songs chosen by the Music Director are available via e-mail from
the Producer in pdf format at knsn at nycap.rr.com.
Sides of dialogue may be provided at the audition. Those who can sight read
will be given preference. An accompanist will be provided.
The Secret Garden, based on the classic novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, is
about life and love growing from loss and haunting pain. It has a beautiful
score by Lucy Simon, and a book and lyrics written by the prize-winning
playwright, Marsha Norman. This show has music, mystery, humor and drama,
and is enjoyable for all ages. Come make some magic with us!
