An Evening of One Act Plays

 

Are you hooked?  Are you wanting to be on stage but have limited time in
your schedule?  Five weeks of rehearsal and one weekend of performances may
be just your answer!  Some of the plays are just 10 minutes long, two are
thirty minutes long.

 

Auditions for Circle Theatre Players' Original One Act Festival

Opening Circle Theatre Players' 33rd season

 

Needed are:

12 women ages 20s - 60s plus

9 men  - ages 20s - 60s

5 non-speaking roles - ages 16-40

 

September 3rd, 4th and 6th  7-9pm

on stage at Sand Lake Center for the Arts

The Blessing by Adam O’Connor, directed by Paul Trela

              A young man has an important question to ask his girlfriend’s
father but is forced to sweat it out. What will his answer be? 

     Needed:  husband, wife and young man

 

Sean’s Wonders by Eric Washburn, directed by Criss Macaione Bilodeau


                Would you help your best friend die?  Would you do it to
keep yourself free?

                

Agnes’ Birthday by Val Kavanaugh, directed by Cheryl Charbonneau

                At age 70, are there really any birthday surprises left?
For Agnes, the answer is yes.

       Needed: three women 60-80 years old

 

Elephants and Eggshells by Sue Frost, directed by Jane Nielsen

              With a touch of humor, Elephants and Eggshells speaks to the
unspoken in the marriage of Edward and Ellen.

       Needed: husband and wife and five non-speaking but expressive parts

 

Live from the May-B Café by Deborah Dorman, directed by Rebecca Gardner

                Explores a mother son relationship through their on-line
communication, from opposite ends of the world.

        Needed:  Mother and college age son

 

When Irish Eyes are Flirting by Joe Starzyk, directed by Adam O’Connor

                Two randy older Irishmen engage in the timeless art of
seduction.  Sort of.

        Needed: Two Irish gents, two American women

                                

Nude with Bearded Irises by Sandra Hutchison, directed by Nicole Meyers

                How do we think about abstract art? How do we think about
social media? And how do we think about that naked woman sprawled in the
irises?

        Needed: two women
