The Local Actors Guild of Saratoga is looking for actors for their March
production of Del Shores’ SORDID LIVES directed by Tim Czelusniak-Serviss.
Rehearsals will begin in late January in Saratoga Springs. Listed below is
a synopsis and character breakdown.

Writer-director Del Shores serves up a heaping helping of Southern-fried
comic melodrama in his play about infidelity, country & western music, and
Airstream trailers. When their Mother dies. Latrelle and LaVonda , along
with their Aunt Sissy plan her funeral -- an unenviable task, considering
that they must carefully hide the deceased's affair with amputee G.W. from
his wife, the vindictive Noleta. Meanwhile, the trio has to come to terms
with two cases of sexual orientation: Latrelle's openly gay soap-opera star
son Ty, whose sexuality she continues to deny; and their only brother, Earl
“Brother Boy,” who's serving a sentence in a mental ward for his adamant
belief that he is actually country & western legend Tammy Wynette. Throw in
Bitsy Mae Harling an guitar playing ex-con singer, Dr. Eve, a phyciastrist
trying to “De-homosexualize” Brother Boy, Juanita, the town drunk, Odell &
Wardell, redneck brothers and you have SORDID LIVES
