*Schenectady Light Opera Company’s Youth Theater
Is Proud to Announce AUDITIONS for
YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN [REVISED]!*

***There is NEVER a fee to participate in a Schenectady Light Opera Company
production***

As has been true of previous SLOC Youth productions, the cast of "You’re A
Good Man, Charlie Brown” will be comprised of area HIGH SCHOOL students
entering grades 9-12 in September 2013.

*The production team is also seeking to cast younger students in the roles
of Woodstock and Rerun. *
Students interested in these younger roles MUST BE UNDER 4' 5" TALL and
have completed kindergarten in order to audition.

This production does call for a large ensemble of actors. Those cast in
ensemble roles will be featured throughout the production and will be
included in musical numbers and scenes that may not traditionally be
considered a “group number”. Looking for talent! Movement is a plus!

PLEASE NOTE that dependent on auditions, it is possible that some roles may
be double cast. If double casting occurs, ALL cast members will still
appear in ALL performances.

{There are 20-25 roles available for high school students and 2-4 roles
available for younger students}

*ABOUT THE SHOW:*
*YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN* tells the story of an average day in the
life of the famous comic strip child hero, Charlie Brown. The audience is
introduced to the whole Peanuts gang: Sally, Shroeder, Lucy, Linus and
Snoopy. All of the characters share their observations, largely negative,
of Charlie Brown . As the musical progresses, the relationships of the
Peanuts characters with one another are further expanded . Lucy is
infatuated with Schroeder and takes great pleasure in tormenting Charlie
Brown. Linus loves his blanket . Snoopy lives in his rich imagination.
Charlie Brown is in love with a mysterious little, redheaded girl. The
REVISED version opened on Broadway in 1999. It is a fresh approach to the
all-time 1967 classic. Sally Brown replaces Peppermint Patty to join
Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy, Schroeder and Snoopy in this version. Two new
songs have been added to the twelve wonderful numbers of the original
version.
