[Capdist-auditions] Mac-Haydn Theatre: seeking Assistant Musical Director

*ASSISTANT MUSICAL DIRECTOR:*


Assist with rehearsals and performances of (up to eight!) main stage
classic and contemporary musicals with top caliber non-Equity and Equity
Guest Artist performers. Music direct (four) popular children’s theatre
shows with original scores, performed by resident company members; possible
opportunity for composing and/or arranging with these.  Position will also
include but may not be limited to: playing for performers at post-show
coffee house Friday & Saturday evenings and assisting with rehearsals and
performance of end-of-season Cabaret.


QUALIFICATIONS: You must thrive on doing your best, be able to set
priorities and work precisely in fast-paced 2-week production/performance
schedule. Excellent piano/accompaniment skills and experience working with
singers in a theatrical setting.  Must have working knowledge of keyboards
to program and play Kurzweil 2600/PC3K8 as well as arranging/orchestration
skills and experience with FINALE software.


Work closely with resident Musical Director, Artistic Director/Producer and
NYC directors.

May through September 2014 commitment necessary.
