[Capdist-auditions] Mac-Haydn Theatre: Chatham auditions coming next weekend

Auditions for the Mac-Haydn Theatre 46th season of professional musical
theatre will be held at the Mary E. Dardess Elementary School on Woodbridge
Ave. in Chatham.


Adults, 13 years and older, will be seen on Saturday, April 5 from 11 a.m.
to 3 p.m.


Children 12 and under on Sunday, April 6 from 1 to 4 p.m.


The theatre's artistic staff will be looking for members of the full season
professional company, people who can join the cast for one or more shows,
and also for Apprentices, who must be at least 16 years old, to spend a
summer learning about musical theatre and performing in Mac-Haydn
Children's Theatre shows.


Several teens and children will be chosen to perform as members of the
River City Band in *The Music Man*.  Two pre-teen to young teen girls are
needed for *Fiddler On The Roof*, and a pre- or young teen boy will be cast
as Nathan in *The Full Monty*.


In addition to those, youngsters will also be picked to be in Mac-Haydn
Children's Theatre shows.


Those auditioning should prepare a song and bring the music for it, in your
key. An accompanist will be provided. Adults should also have a short,
comedic monologue. All auditionees will take part in a short dance/movement
call, and should bring shoes they can move easily in.


The Mac-Haydn Theatre 46th season shows are *Sondheim: Putting It Together*,
*The Music Man*, *Fiddler On The Roof*, *42nd Street*, *Young Frankenstein*,
*Guys and Dolls*, *The Full Monty* and *The All Night Strut*.
