*An informative and invigorating two week summer workshop and performance
in theater technique for teens!*

Open to students entering the 9th-12th grade in the fall.

Round Lake United Methodist Church

Round Lake, NY 12151

Week 1 (August 4 – 8) - Theater Technique
Monday- Friday, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Week 2 (August 11-15) - Applied Preparation and Performance Showcase
Monday-Thursday, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
**Friday-Full Day Rehearsal followed by 7:00 pm performance

Classes
Over the course of this two week program, students will have over 30 hours
of theater training and performance in the following areas:

12 Guideposts to Acting
Cold Reading
Improvisation
Monologues
Warm Ups
    Speaking Voice
    Audition Technique and Materials
    Movement
    Stage Direction
    Dance
    Body Language
    Singing (not required for showcase)
    Projection

*Performance Showcase (end of second week) – each student will be showcased
based on their strengths.*

*Cost*
We are offering two options for the Performing Arts School
Option 1 –  Attend week 1 and 2…..$300 (combined total)
Option 2 –  Attend week 1 only……..$200

*Payment*
We are offering two payment options for the Performing Arts School
Option 1 – Pay in Full by June 1st
Option 2 - $100 Deposit  by June 1st
       $100 Payment by July 1st  (this will be your final payment if you
are only doing 1 week)
       $100 payment by August 1st  (this will be your final payment if you
are doing both weeks)
** Payments can be refunded until July 15th.  After July 15th, no refunds
will be given.

*About the Directors:*
Originally from upstate NY, Holly McCormack’s performances and studies have
taken her to the midwest, east coast and Europe. Holly has studied theater
and film acting with Tom Todoroff in NYC and Broadway-level musical theater
training with Andrew Byrne and VP Boyle. As an opera singer, Holly
performed with Chicago Opera Theater, the Chicago Cultural Center, American
Opera Group and L’Opera Piccola. Holly holds a B.M. in Voice Performance
from SUNY Purchase and a M.M. in Voice Performance from the Chicago College
of Performing Arts. Holly teaches private voice lessons in classical and
musical theater technique in the Capital District. You can learn more about

Jodi Leight has a B.S. and M.S. in Music Education from The College of
Saint Rose. Jodi has been the middle and high school choral director at the
Schuylerville Central School District for the past fourteen years where she
has run various select vocal ensembles, taught voice lessons and run the
drama club.  Jodi has been musical director, stage director, choreographer
and producer for numerous dramas and musicals over the past seventeen years.
