[Capdist-auditions] theREP Seeks 3 Actors

Capital Repertory Theatre seeks 3 actors to take part in an educational event highlighting theREP’s newest On-The-Go! in-School Touring Production entitled They Built America: The Workers of the Erie Canal.

Actors will be taking part in a reading of the new work as a part of the upcoming NYS History Conference at the University of Albany on November 21, 2014.

The piece utilizes 4 actors, three of whom portray multiple roles surrounding the fourth central character. Actors who play the hand drum (or tambourine), guitar and/or banjo will be considered first.  

There will be three rehearsals, followed by the event itself. Dates of contract are: November 19, 20 & 21, 2014.

SEEKING:

2 men

1 women

1 female - versatile, 30s-40s to play all female and some male roles

(1 female – Kelly, a young Irish lass with guts has already been cast)

2 males

20s-40s. Both men need to be versatile actor/musicians – you must be able to play the guitar/banjo and read lead sheets.


This is a paid position. Both Union and Non-Union may apply.
