We are having auditions for a new project recording next month during 
the weekend of the 8th and 9th! We'll be holding auditions Friday the 
24th starting at 7:00 pm at the King of Kings Lutheran Church, 1593 
Crescent Rd, Clifton Park. It's a 30 minute audio drama in the spirit of 
the /Inner Sanctum/ or /Tales from the Crypt/. If interested, please 
reply with your acting resume and parts you plan to audition for.

Synopsis:
A young married couple, John and Maria, desperate to find a cure for the 
John's cancer turn to a man with a miraculous experimental procedure 
involving nanotechnology. Like magic, John is cured of not just his 
cancer, but of anything that ails him. At first it's a welcomed miracle, 
but as John begins to transform into the perfect being, Maria becomes 
fearful of her and her child's safety.

Characters:
Maria Young -  She's the main character and narrator of the story. Even 
though the procedure could possibly save Jake's life, she is fearful of 
the change it could bring. Initially excited for Jake's full recovery, 
she quickly finds herself struggling to get their life back to the way 
it was as Jake slips away from her. Soon all she can do is try to save 
her child, and eventually herself.

Jake Young - Maria's husband and cancer sufferer. He undergoes an 
experimental procedure to save his life, and comes out better than ever, 
but over time he begins to lose his humanity for a more machine like 
existence.

Professor Pendrake - A man of science working on experimental medical 
procedures involving nanotechnology, and Jake Young is his first human 
test subject. His intentions seem noble at first, but something more 
sinister seems to be going on in his mind.

Cassie Mitchum - Maria's best friend, who tries to dig up information 
for Maria on Professor Pendrake and his experiments. She's determined to 
get to the bottom Jake's change in attitude and behavior for the sake of 
her friend's family.

Doctor M - Jake's doctor that gives the Youngs a referral to see 
Professor Pendrake. He's straight about the facts, but does what he can 
to help.

Receptionist - A receptionist at the hospital Jake's doctor works. Maria 
tries to confront her for information on Professor Pendrake.

Andy - A man who lives in the area. He happens upon Maria at the end of 
the story, and tries to help her.
