November 7 - 23, 2014 Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python, and you have "The 39 Steps", a fast-paced whodunit for anyone who loves the magic of theater! All the roles in the play are performed by four actors. One plays Richard Hannay, the suave leading man; one female plays the three characters and two "clowns" play every other character. Actors must be able to convincingly play 30s to 50s. Join us for the fun and intrigue.

Richard Hannay (30s - 50s): A dapper English gentleman, Richard Hannay is bored-until Annabella Schmidt comes into his life and starts him on a heroic and hilarious journey.

Female Lead Character (30s - 50s): Annabella Schmidt, an exotic secret agent, is in dire need of Hannay's help; Pamela, a beautiful woman lured into Hannay's adventure; Margaret Crofter the farmer's wife, a shy young woman who dreams of life and adventure in the city. 

Clown 1 (30s- 50s)- multiple characters including heroes, villains, men, women, children, and even the occasional inanimate object. This often requires lightning fast quick changes and occasionally calls for them to play multiple characters at once!
