Family Players of Northeastern New York, Inc is excited to announce
auditions for their 2015 Summer Production..

 

YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN!

 

Tag along with your favorite characters from the classic comic strip Peanuts
as Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, Schroeder and the rest of the gang as
they romp through their most memorable situations from the comic strip and
TV specials. A lighthearted, heartwarming and heartfelt musical comedy for
audiences of all ages with special appearances from the Little Red-Haired
Girl, Lucy's psychiatry booth, the Kite-Eating Tree and Snoopy's arch rival,
the conniving, cunning and often cursed Red Baron. This charming production
is sure to delight fans and leave you humming the simple but catchy songs
such as "Suppertime," "Happiness" and the title song.

 

This show will be cast with students only (ages 8 to 18 at the time of
auditions)

 

AUDITIONS:

Thursday April 16, 2015, Sign in begins at 6:30 pm, Auditions begin at 7:00
pm

Friday April 17, 2015, Sign in begins at 6:30 pm, Auditions begin at 7:00 pm

Call Backs (if needed) Saturday April 18, 2015, 12pm to 10pm

 

AUDITION LOCATION: 

Lisha Kill Middle School (Auditorium) 

68 Waterman Ave, Albany NY 12205

 

Prepare 16-32 bars of an up-tempo and/or comedic Broadway song. An
accompanist will be provided. You may sing from the show if you choose, but
it is not required. We will ask you to read from the script.

 

Bring your calendars to give conflicts. Rehearsals are currently planned for
Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm starting the
week of May 4th, 2015. Not all cast will be called for every rehearsal.
Rehearsals will generally be at Sand Creek Middle School but other Capital
Area locations are sometimes used. 

 

SHOW DATES: 

July 8-11, 2015 at 7:30 plus a Saturday Matinee at 2:00 on July 11 as well

Characters: 

Charlie Brown: (Tenor) The main and lovable character. 

 

Lucy Van Pelt: (Mezzo-Soprano) Linus' lovable fuss-budget older sister. 

 

Sally Brown: (Soprano) Charlie Brown's younger sister. 

 

Linus Van Pelt: (Baritone/Tenor) Charlie Brown's blanket-sporting best
friend. 

 

Schroeder: (Tenor) The piano playing character and Lucy's love interest 

 

Snoopy: (Multiple Ranges) Charlie Brown's ubiquitous dog. (may be cast as a
male or female)

 

An ensemble of 20-30 additional students will also be cast including
Woodstock, Rerun, Pigpen, Peppermint Patty, Marcy, The Little Red Headed
Girl, Frieda and others. 

 

A $50 fee will be due at first rehearsal to help offset production costs and
will include a free t-shirt.
