Fall 2015 Children & Teen Acting Classes Start at HMT!

 

Home Made Theater announces two new sessions of acting classes for children
and teens ages six to 17 starting in September and running into November.
All classes are held at the Spa Little Theater in the Saratoga Spa State
Park and are taught by Kate Starczewski. 

Discovering Theater for students ages 6-8: Children will have the
opportunity to interpret and act out familiar fairy tales, pretending,
imagining and creating through play acting. Discovering Theater is taught in
Session 1 which begins September 19th and meets from 9:30am-10:30am,
continuing Saturdays 9/26, 10/10 and 10/17.  Discovering Theater costs $65.

Elements of Acting for students ages 9-12: Students will be encouraged to
begin the process of developing an acting technique and explore characters.
Elements of Acting is taught in Session 1 which begins September 19th and
meets from 10:45am-12:00pm, continuing Saturdays 9/26, 10/10 and 10/17.
Elements of Acting costs $80.

Creative Dramatics for students ages 6-8: This class goes a step further in
encouraging students to think on their feet while developing characters from
their own imaginations. Creative Dramatics is taught in Session 1I which
begins October 24th and meets from 9:30am-10:30am, running for four
consecutive Saturdays through November 14th. Creative Dramatics costs $65.

Improvisation for students ages 8-17: This class will explore many fun ways
to achieve the skills needed to create and perform spontaneously.
Improvisation is taught in Session 1I which begins October 24th and meets
from 10:45am-12:15pm, running for four consecutive Saturdays through
November 14th. Improvisation costs $85.

Registrations are accepted over the phone with a credit card, or by mail
with check or credit card.  Class size is limited to 12 students, and
