time.

Audition sides from the script will be provided.

All four roles require an Irish accent.

Cast Breakdown:

ANTHONY REILLY Age 40-45 A farmer in Mullingar, Ireland. He raises
sheep, cows and crops on the family farm. Never married. If it is
possible to be practical and a dreamer at the same time, Anthony has done
it.

TONY REILLY Age 72-ish. Anthony’s father. Has lived on the Reilly family
farm his entire life. Irascible, a bit lazy, and very resistant to
change.

ROSEMARY MULDOON Age 35-40 Farm’s the neighboring land. Was once quite
beautiful, but her star is fading. . . and she knows it. Strong and
stubborn like her father, who (at the top of the play) has recently passed
away. She is in love with Anthony.

AOIFE MULDOON Mid-70s. Rosemary’s mother. Very loyal and devoted to her
husband, who has recently died. But she gets a kick out of her neighbors,
Anthony and Tony. Used to being smarter than all the men “in charge”
around her – and this doesn’t upset her, just amuses her.

*Production Dates*
