ATTENTION PLAYWRIGHTS

Circle Theatre Players 3rd Original One Act Play Festival will be held in
January, 2016 on stage at the Sand Lake Center for the Arts, Averill Park,
New York. 

 

You are eligible to submit if you live in one of the following counties: 

 

Hudson Valley Region including Albany, Greene, Ulster, Orange, Rockland,
Rensselaer, Columbia, Dutchess, Putnam, Westchester counties; 

 

Berkshire County, Massachusetts from Williamstown and North Adams in the
north to Sheffield in the south.

 

We are seeking comedies, dramas or mysteries that have not been previously
produced. The performance time should be between 5 - 15 minutes. Plays need
to be performed on a bare stage with minimal set pieces and props. 

The festival is a competition with monetary prizes. Productions will be
adjudicated by a TANYS Roving Adjudicator and all participants will receive
feedback from a local playwright. Shows may have possible TANYS and ESTA
Festival consideration. 

 

Submission Details: The title of the play and the page number should appear
on the top of each page. The author's name must not appear on any pages
other than the cover sheet. The cover sheet should include the title of the
play, name of the playwright, address including county, phone number(s),
email address, a short biography of the playwright and a brief description
of the play. Submissions must be double spaced in 12-point font, Times New
Roman script. 

 

Five hard copies of each play must be submitted or postmarked by June 30,
2015 and mailed to SLCA-CTP One Act Play Festival, PO Box 179, Averill Park,
New York 12018. 

After the plays are chosen through a blind selection process, plays will be
read with prospective directors and actors. You will be invited to the
reading and the staged performance of your script. No changes in the script
