[Capdist-auditions] volunteers for mass casualty drill in Duanesburg, NY

Duanesburg Volunteer Ambulance Corp  is running a mass casualty drill with NYS Police, Schenectady County Sheriff's Dept., local fire departments, and Duanesburg School District on Saturday October 3, 2015.   The subject of the drill is an active shooter at the Duanesburg Elementary School (located in the western part of Schenectady County).

We are in need of volunteers to play the staff and students at the school as well as a crowd of bystanders and parents.    We are looking for students grade 6th and up ( due to the nature of the drill) and adults of all ages.   The volunteers would be betraying injuries both physical and mental associated with this type of situation.

Unfortunately this scenario is one which we see in the news and for which we need to prepare.  These drills are the best way for our first  responders  to  prepare for this and to work out the role each would play should this occur in our community.

Volunteers will be asked to report to a staging area ( to be determined) around 7am and would be de-briefed and provided lunch wrapping up by 1pm.
