The Mac-Haydn Theatre is inviting five young people ages 16 and up to audition for the their Apprentice Program. The Apprentice Program is designed for those who may be entertaining a career in musical theater, or simply wish to take part in a professional musical theater experience. The program begins July 5.

 Under the direction of John Saunders, apprentices will work on monologues, audition songs, and the how-tos of auditioning. Apprentices will take part in workshops throughout the season. These classes are provided by the theater’s visiting directors, choreographers and actors. In addition to this, they will perform on the Mac-Haydn stage along side the company’s actors and receive hands on instruction in the technical aspects of theater..

Tuition for the Apprentice program is $500.00. Those interested in auditioning are asked to attend the Mac-Haydn Theater’s local auditions on Saturday, March 9, or Saturday March 16 from10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Auditions will be held at the Mary E.
