*AUDITIONS SCHENECTADY THEATER FOR CHILDREN SPRING 2017 TOURING TROUPE*

The Schenectady Theater for Children (STC) announces auditions for its 2017
touring production.  STC is seeking adults and young adults (ages 16 and
above) to join in the Spring troupe.  Must have availability during daytime
hours from January to June.

Actors will read from script.  Please *do not* prepare a musical audition
piece.  Actors will sing from selected simple songs to test range.  There
is no compensation for actors performing in the company.

The Schenectady Theater for Children (STC) is a not-for-profit, adult
volunteer company *celebrating its 50th season* of bringing educational and
entertaining theater to the youth of the Capital District.  Combining
humor, music, and action, STC performs at schools, libraries, museums, and
other venues to deliver messages which are important to students.


The Spring 2017 troupe will be presenting *Seasons  *written by Melanie
Douglas.  It is a story about the four seasons of Spring, Summer, Fall and
Winter and how they came to be ordered.  With the guidance of Mother
Nature, the seasons learn a lot about others and about themselves as they
struggle to agree.  Children of all ages will enjoy the show, told with
action and music.  They will see that every action has a consequence, and
that thinking things out first is always the best course to take.  The
Spring tour will be directed by Bill Douglas.
