[Capdist-auditions] Capital District Youth Chorale to Hold Auditions on January 7th

The Capital District Youth Chorale, now in its34th season under the direction of Diane B. Warner, is a not-for-profit which provides singers in grades 4-12 with opportunities to perform withorchestras as well as college and adult community choirs in the Capital District regionof upstate New York.  This talented groupof  approximately 100 singers meets weekly and performs annually with the Grammy Award winningAlbany Symphony and Albany Pro Musica. 

Auditionswill take place on January 7, 2017 from 9:30-Noon at Farnsworth Middle School inGuilderland. The singers rehearse on Saturdays between 9:30AM and Noon at Farnsworth Middle School.  A limited number of need based scholarships are available. Spring 2017 plans include exchange concerts with a Boston community choir (Voices Boston), at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Albany, an Invitational Choral Festival at Troy Music Hall, Voices of Hope at Delmar United Methodist Church, and the annual Talent Gala at Union College Memorial College.  Advanced singers will participate in Albany Pro Musica’s The Armed Man (A Mass for Peace) Concert at EMPAC in Troy.
