Come and help us pull off an amazing coup de théâtre at EMPAC!

Brooklyn-based theater maker Andrew Schneider is staging his Obie award winning YOUARENOWHERE<https://www.nytimes.com/2016/03/13/theater/andrew-schneider-now-embraces-glitches-in-youarenowhere.html?_r=0> for the last time before he premieres the sequel to this wildly successful show. Come and be a part of the magic!

What: We are seeking 160 people of varying ages to stand in as a parallel universe doppelgänger audience and surprise a public audience half way through YOUARENOWEHERE. Shhhh, you are the secret element that makes this show work!

When: August 10 & August 11 at 5:30pm (it’s okay to come just one night if you can’t make both)

Where: Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC), at RPI

How: Sign up at youareintheshow.com<http://youareintheshow.com> and we’ll be in touch with details

What else: We’ll provide an orientation with the cast at 5:30 and then pre-show pizza. At 8pm you'll experience the show for free from a secret vantage point before the big reveal! Post-show we’ll have an after party in the theater with Brown’s beer and snacks. We also invite participants to join us for a workshop with the cast at EMPAC on August 11 at 12:30pm. This is an unpaid opportunity.

Please RSVP as soon as possible and no later than August 5

More about the show:
YOUARENOWHERE By Andrew Schendier
Trailer: https://vimeo.com/131798301
Performer, writer, and interactive-electronics artist Andrew Schneider presents his Obie Award-winning show YOUARENOWHERE. This rapid-fire and witty theater performance cycles through expressions of laughter, surprise, and angst. Its dialogue traverses quantum mechanics and parallel universes, missed connections and YouTube videos in an existential meditation on time and presence. The New York Times lauds the show as “A chaotic mix of personal revelation and relativity theory, enhanced by some alarming and splendid visual effects...”

Andrew Schneider has been working in residence at EMPAC to create the follow-up to YOUARENOWHERE, which will receive its World Premiere at EMPAC this September.
Andrew Schneider<http://andrewjs.com/> is a Brooklyn-based artist who creates and performs in original performance works and videos and builds interactive electronic artworks and installations. Schneider was a Wooster Group company member (video/performer) from 2007-2014 and has shown his work at 3LD in New York, the Melbourne Arts Festival, LIFT Festival, and in theaters across France, including Maillon, Théâtre de Strausbourg, and Théâtre de Gennevilliers.
