[Capdist-auditions] New Dance Classes at Saratoga Children's Theatre! -- Fee Required

[Saratoga Children's Theatre]

*It is official SCT is starting Dance Classes!! *

Instructor: Laura Racht

*Laura Racht is dancer/choreographer from Saratoga County. She earned her
Music Theater degree with a minor in dance from Rider University’s
Westminster Choir College. During her time there she had the privilege of
studying Theater Jazz with Marymount Manhattan College’s Geoffrey Doig-Marx
for Theater Jazz (also a choreographer at Park Playhouse) at the Princeton
Ballet School in Princeton, NJ.*

*Some of her credits at Westminster Choir College include choreographing
for “Light in the Piazza”, and taking the position of dance captain for
“Oklahoma!” as well as a showcase at Shetler Studios Penthouse in New York
City.*

*Since her return to the Capital Region she has been teaching dance at
World Class Gymnastics. She has also had the opportunity to choreograph for
Shenendehowa Middle Schools including their production of “Camp Rock” and
“The Lion King”.*


*Combinations Class*THURSDAY CLASS July 6-August 10 (6 Weeks) from
6:00pm-7:30pm at the Saratoga Senior Center. Ages: 13 and up

This class is a great way to kick off your dance experience with SCT! Learn
how to pick up combinations quickly in all different styles! Really helps
for auditions!! Class structure will be warm ups, across the floor followed
by the combinations.

Fee: $75

Dance Attire: We strongly recommend Leotards and Tights for Girls. Please
wear something that is more form fitting if you do not own a leotard.
Shorts and T-shirt or Tank Top for boys. Absolutely NO JEANS or SNEAKERS.
Please wear character shoes (girls) or jazz shoes (girls and boys). www.

*Broadway Jazz *THURSDAY CLASS September 14-November 2 (8 Weeks) at the
Saratoga Senior Center

Focus on basic technique from different styles of Broadway styles from
Fosse through contemporary styles!

Fee: $80

Dance Attire: We strongly recommend Leotards and Tights for Girls. Please
wear something that is more form fitting if you do not own a leotard.
Shorts and T-shirt or Tank Top for boys. Absolutely NO JEANS or SNEAKERS.
Please wear character shoes (girls) or jazz shoes (girls and boys).
