Sand Lake Center for the Arts- Circle Theatre Players announces open
auditions for

"The Crucible"

 

The Crucible by Arthur Miller, directed by Sue Frost and Val Kavanaugh.

DATES:  Auditions will be held on Nov. 12th at 6 pm and 6:30 on Nov. 14th at
the Sand Lake Center for the Arts.  Call backs Nov. 16 at 6:30.  Sides will
be provided.  Knowledge of the setting, plot and theme of the play are
suggested.

PERFORMANCE DATES:  March 16,17,18,22,23,24,25, Rehearsals begin January 22.

This exciting drama about the Puritan purge of witchcraft in old Salem is
both a gripping historical play and a timely parable of our contemporary
society.  

The story focuses upon a young farmer, his wife, and a young servant-girl
who maliciously causes the wife's arrest for witchcraft.  The farmer brings
the girl to court to admit the lie-and it is here that the monstrous course
of bigotry and deceit is terrifyingly depicted.
