The Delta Xi Cast of Alpha Psi Omega Open Calls for Producer for Fall 2018
Troy, NY - April 14th, 2018

The Delta Xi Cast of Alpha Psi Omega, the theatre honor society of
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, is seeking a Producer for our Fall
Production: God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza, translated by Christopher
Hampton. The show will be performed on the 20th, 21st, and 22nd of
September 2018. The call will close on April 20th, 2018. The following is a
synopsis provided by Dramatist:


“A playground altercation between eleven-year-old boys brings together two
sets of Brooklyn parents for a meeting to resolve the matter. At first,
diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the meeting progresses, and the
rum flows, tensions emerge and the gloves come off, leaving the couples
with more than just their liberal principles in tatters.”

The producer is the figurehead of the production team and must coordinate
between the Show Director, the Delta Xi officers, and outside groups to
lead the show from infancy to closing night. The Producer is directly
responsible for distributing the budget, as supplied by the Delta Xi cast,
and creating the production team.



In addition to the show dates, the Producer must be available for Tech
Sunday (date to be agreed upon by the Producer and Director). As the event
will be located on RPI campus, the Producer must be located in the area
during the summer months. The Producer does not need to be a current Alpha
Psi Omega member and the Producer does not need to be a student (RPI
affiliated or otherwise).

status in the RPI community (professor, student, alumni, community member,
