413.274.8122 WAM Theatre Announces AEA Auditions for the 2018 Fresh Takes
Play Reading Series WAM Theatre holds Equity Principal Auditions for our
Fresh Takes play reading series on March 20 and 21, 2018. Auditions will be
hosted by Talya Kingston, new Associate Artistic Director, with Artistic
Director, Kristen van Ginhoven, also in attendance.  Performers who have
auditioned for or performed with WAM in the past are encouraged to attend
to meet the new Associate Artistic Director and give her a chance to see
their work. WAM Theatre is casting for our Fresh Takes play reading.  In
2018, any actor or stage manager involved in Fresh Takes, Equity or
Non-Equity, will be paid a minimum wage hourly fee. AEA actors and stage
managers will be work under a pending Staged Reading Contract. The
commitment involves six hours of rehearsal the day prior to the reading,
plus the reading.  Auditions: Tuesday March 20th: 1pm-5pm, 7pm-9pm &
Wednesday March 21st: 10am-1pm BY APPOINTMENT ONLYWhere: WAM's Office, 56
Church Street, Lenox, MA (on the second floor above Bistro Zinc).  Free
parking is available in the lot behind our office.  Please use the blue WAM
Theatre door on the left side of the building in the front.Prepare: 1-2
minute contemporary monologue, may also be asked to read sides. WAM
Theatre’s Fresh Takes Reading Series presents five new works by women
(approximately one per month April-September).  2018 Fresh Takes Reading
Series performances are scheduled for April 15, May 3, June 10, August TBD,
September 16. Each play is rehearsed for six hours and performed (on book)
the next day.  Three of the performances will be at No. 6 Depot Roastery
and Cafe in West Stockbridge, MA, one will be at Shakespeare & Company’s
Elayne P Bernstein Theatre in Lenox, MA. E-mail Talya Kingston, Associate

slot.Please submit a resume and headshot (as PDF and JPEG attachments) by
March 9.Please indicate any time limitations otherwise you will be assigned
the first available slot. Performers of all ethnicities, gender identities,
and ages, as well as performers with disabilities, are encouraged to
audition.Non-Equity actors will be seen as time permits and should submit a
photo and resume and indicate their non-union status in their request. We
will fit in non-equity actors where possible, but first priority goes to
