When Greg, a middle aged father, finds a friendly dog named Sylvia in the
park, he decides to take her in. His wife, Kate, is less than thrilled.
Hilarity ensues when an ordinary marriage becomes a complex love triangle
with a dog at it's center. Seeking advice from a tough-guy dog owner, a
stuffy friend, and a marriage counselor along the way, Greg, Kate, and
Sylvia find themselves in a series of...hairy... situations. A dog may be
man's best friend, but how will she stand up to his wife?

*ALL ROLES AVAILABLE*
Seeking actors ages 14 and up.
Two males, two females.

*CHARACTERS*
*GREG* - Middle-aged empty nester looking for the excitement of life.
Adores his dog Sylvia, to the dismay of his wife.

*KATE* - Greg's wife. Very successful in the public school system. Has no
interest in a dog, and wishes Greg didn't either.

*SYLVIA* - Played by a human. Fun-loving, sassy dog who loves Greg. Kate?
Not so much. Enjoys cursing out cats, humping people who don't like it, and
flirting with dogs in the dog park.

*TOM/PHYLLIS/LESLIE* - Played by one actor. Tom is a macho dog owner who
befriends Greg at the dog park. Phyllis is a snooty friend of Kate's, who
finds herself having to deal with Sylvia unexpectedly. Leslie is an
uncomfortably androgynous marriage counselor.

*Audition Information:*
Date/Time: Tuesday, January 9th from 5pm to 8pm.
Location: The Albany Barn, 56 Second Street, Albany NY, Studio 125

*Audition Requirements:*
*Tuition based program ($150, payment plans available), no audition fee
required*
Please prepare a one minute comedic monologue, sides will be provided for
cold reads of the script.

*Please bring a copy of weekly recurring conflicts, as well as
individual/vacation/holiday conflicts to submit. Rehearsal nights will be
determined based on this information.*
