Voice Theatre is casting All My Sons by Arthur Miller, director Shauna Kanter. Auditions in New York City at: PearlStudios, 519 Eight Avenue, 12th floor, Studio I --- Fri. Feb.9th @ 2-7pm, Sat. Feb. 10th @ 11am-5pm  & Call Backs, Sat. Feb. 17th@ 11am-4pm and Woodstock, NY at: Voice Theatre, 13 Wittenberg Road, Bearsville, NY (1.5 milesfrom Woodstock).   Salary: Equity Contract (Special Appearance) and Non-Equity salaries. Some housing available.    Auditions by appointment only  Available Roles:   JoeKeller -- 55-65, fatherof Chris & Larry Keller, husband to Kate Keller. Opinionated, larger thanlife, a leader of men. A man of stolid mind, a business man for many years, with the imprintof the machine shop worker and boss still upon him. When he reads, when hespeaks, when he listens, it is with the terrible concentration of theuneducated man whose judgments must be dredged out of experience and a peasantlike common sense. A man among men.   Kate Keller (Mother)-- 45-55, a woman of uncontrolled inspirationsand an overwhelming capacity for love and loyalty. Emotional, strong willed,intelligent and controlling, tenacious.  Chris Keller -- 25-32, a man capable of immenseaffection and loyalty. Honor and truth mean a great deal to him. A good son andvery much in love with Ann Deever. Wants more from life than economic security.  Ann Deever – 22-30, beautiful, intelligent, has been lonely but nowhopeful. Determined, thoughtful and kind.   Dr.Jim Bayliss -- 40-60, a successful doctor, but isfrustrated with the domesticity of his married life. He ignored his blissearlier in life and is saddened but that. Being a GP is not his calling but itpays the bills. He is a close friend of the Keller family and spends a lot oftime in their backyard.  Sue Bayliss -- 35-55, Jim's wife: needling, resentfuland dangerous but can be affectionate. Former nurse. A friend of the Kellerfamily, but is secretly resentful of Chris Keller. Frank Lubey -- 40-65, amiable, part time astrologer, neighbor tothe Kellers. Married to Lydia Lubey, they have three children. Not a bookreader.  Lydia Lubey -- 30-45, she is a model of peacefuldomesticity and lends a much-needed cheerful air to situations. She knows howto laugh, she is a healer a connecting of all things good.   SynopsisAll My Sons takes place in “August ofour time” in the suburban backyard of Joe and Kate Keller. Their two sons, Chrisand Larry have both gone to war. Chris returned. Larry has been missing inaction for three years. Only Kate believes that Larry is still alive. Chris hasinvited Larry’s fiancée Ann Deever, to come for a visit.  Chris and Annhave been cultivating a relationship and Chris proposes to Ann. Beforethe play begins, there was a scandal between Ann’s father, Steve Deever and JoeKeller. Joe and Steve were partners in a company that made airplane engines forfighter jets. Engines with defective parts were shipped out. Twenty-one AirForce pilots died as a result. A court case followed and Steve Deever, Ann’sfather was found guilty and went to prison while Joe Keller was exonerated.   Ann’sbrother, George Deever has become a lawyer and visits his father, Steve, who isstill in prison. George now wants the truth; who was responsible for shippingthe defective engines; his father, Steve Deever or Joe Keller.   Georgeis adamant that Ann and Chris should not marry.  Ann refuses to give up Chris. It becomes clear that JoeKeller put profit above safety as well as letting Steve Deever take the blamefor shipping the defective parts.  Joeconfesses. Ann demands that Chris and her marry. Kate refuses. Ann produces aletter that Larry wrote to Ann on the day he died. In the letter Larry tellsAnn that he is going to crash his plane because he knows his father wasresponsible for the twenty-one deaths, putting profit above the pilots lives.Finally, Joe agrees to accept his responsibility and go to jail. Joe then goesinto the house and shoots himself. Shauna Kanter
