*CASTING CALL FOR SILENT SKY BY LAUREN GUNDERSON*

Production Company: PolySci Theatre and CapSci

Production Description: Casting Capital Region community actors for an
unpaid, non-union, staged reading of Silent Sky at miSci and the Dudley
Observatory in Schenectady, NY. This is the first event in a new series
called PolySci Theatre, a production series of theatrical stories that
focus on science’s intersection with culture, history, and politics.

Play Synopsis: Blending, science, humor, and romance, Silent Sky tells the
compelling and important story of celebrated astronomer Henrietta Swan
Leavitt and her fellow female colleagues at the Harvard Observatory, and
how they rose above the male-driven, turn-of-the-century world of science
to make their way into history.

Performance Date: September 27th @ 7:00 PM, additional performances are TBD
