Broadway Camp Jr.
Dates: July 9 – 13 | 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Ages: 12 – 14
Tuition: $350
Location: The Addy Theatre at Proctors
Experience: Intermediate

Want to hit the MainStage for Broadway Camp but not old enough yet? Practice with Broadway Camp Jr., one week of workshops and classes! Students have master classes on singing, acting and dancing with Broadway professionals. The class becomes one ensemble which creates an inviting and safe space to explore monologues and hit those high notes. You will even get a headshot for your future auditions and the showcase at the end of the week for friends and family!

Acting Out!

Ages: 7 – 10
Tuition: $250
Experience: Introductory
Time to let your star shine! This beginner camp is great for any student who is ready to learn the basic techniques of acting. From projecting your voice to trusting in your instincts, students will gain the self-confidence needed to take to the stage and wow friends and family in the final performance at the end of the week.
Acting Intensive
Dates & Locations: July 16 – 20 | 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at theREP
                                    August 6 – 10 | 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. The Addy Theatre at Proctors
Ages: 14 – 18
Tuition: $300
Experience: Intermediate to Advanced
Enrollment Deadline: July 6, 2018
 Join us for a series of master classes culminating in preparing an audition monologue. This amazing week, led by theatre industry professionals, will give students individualized guidance and the opportunity to hone their skills in areas such as:

  *   Scene and partner work from classic theatre pieces
  *   Character development
  *   Speech and movement for the stage
  *   Monologues
  *   Acting technique
 Students must have previous performance experience or have been a part of STAR, Acting Intensive, Broadway Camp, Broadway Jr, or Summer Stage Young Acting Company. Showcases 4 p.m. Fridays of the program. Space is limited but your potential isn’t!

NEW! Acting for the Camera
Dates: July 30 – August 3 | 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Ages: 14 – 18
Tuition: $300
Location: The Addy Media Lab at Proctors
Experience: Intermediate
Acting for the Camera is designed for students interested in learning skills for acting in front of the camera. The program will study the craft of acting for film and television, which will be supported by staging techniques, understanding of camera positioning and framing, and what is expected from actors on set, with hitting marks, consistency, and following protocol. Delivering narration into the camera and using a teleprompter are also unique to on camera performance. This program will prepare actors for auditioning and performing for the camera.
NEW! Non-Musical Acting
Dates: July 30 –  August 3 | 9 a.m. –  4:30 p.m.
Ages: 10 – 13
Tuition: $250
Location: The Addy Theatre at Proctors
Experience: Intermediate
Bring characters alive with your imagination! From monologues, to spoken poetry and hilarious scenes, this class will bring out the star in everyone. Embrace the drama and comedy and learn how to act with your voice, body and mind—plus an end of the week showcase!
