*2019 Spring Break Musical Production*

*Directed by Broadway's "Captain Hook"  *
*Paul Schoeffler*
*Let your imagination soar on a magical journey through Never-Never Land in
the Broadway production of J.M. Barrie's timeless classic adventure!*

*Auditions*

*All Ages: 5-18 welcome! Open calls on*

*Friday Feb. 22nd   6:30pm-9:00pm Saturday Feb. 23rd    9:00am-4:00pm
Wednesday Feb. 27th  6:00pm-8:30pm*

*Sign in starts half an hour before auditions.   Students will be seen as
they arrive and will be released after they have auditioned.*

*Audition Location*

*Our Saviour’s Lutheran School 63 Mountain View Ave,   Albany*

*WHAT TO PREPARE 16-32 BARS OF A MUSICAL THEATRE SONG (ABOUT ONE MINUTE)
PLEASE BRING SHEET MUSIC IN THE CORRECT KEY.  AN ACCOMPANIST WILL BE
PROVIDED. PLEASE BRING A HEADSHOT AND RESUME, IF YOU HAVE ONE.   IF NOT,
PLEASE BRING A PHOTO.*

*Rehearsals*

*Sunday April 14th 5:30-7:30pm Parent Meeting at 7:00pm April 19:
9:00am-4:00pm April 22-26 9:00am-4:00pm*

*Ear*ly drop off at 7:45 am and late pick up at 5:45 pm is available for a
small fee on weekdays.

*April 26: 7:00 pm*

*April 27: 2:00 pm & 7:00 pm April 28: 2:00 pm Theater: TBD in

*Tuition*

*Audition Fee: $25 (non-refundable audition fee that will be applied to
tuition) Total Cost per student - $300 , which includes $25 audition fee.
Early Registration Discount - $250 (SAVE $50) if paid in full by March 1st!*

*About The Broadway Sings Young Artist Program *
*Broadway Sings Young Artists Program *is an ongoing *Broadway Performance
Workshop* taught by working Broadway professionals who have performed
leading roles in Broadway shows such as

*Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera,
Wicked, Newsies, Matilda, Fun Home, Miss Saigon, Mamma Mia, Mary Poppins*...and
many more!

*Broadway Sings Young Artists Program* provides students with the ability
to learn many aspect of the craft of musical theatre performance while
making contacts and building relationships within the professional Broadway
community.

Some of the many varied and comprehensive programs that are offered by
*Broadway
Sings Young Artist Program *include:

   -

   Youth productions: certain sessions will culminate in concert or staged
   performances of an entire musical – in a complete professional theatrical
   setting – including lighting, sound and professional live orchestra*

   - *Choreography:*  including learning actual Broadway choreography from
   productions.
   - *Vocal coaching *and musical theatre song study/technique
   - *Acting Technique:* including theatre games, scene study, and
   character development
   - *Audition preparation and technique: * including a mock professional
   audition demonstration - everything from putting together your ‘book’ to
   the what you do when you walk into the audition
   - *Business lectures:* agents, managers, resumes, pictures, equity vs.
   non-equity
   - *Stage make-up:* (certain sessions only)
   - *Stage combat:* (certain sessions only)
   - *Meditation for the actor:*  stilling the ‘voices’ to get to the right
   place to perform
   - *Professional connections*
   - *Broadway guest artists Q&A sessions: *guest artists currently working
   in the industry will give the students the perspective from currently
   working Broadway professionals
   - *The rehearsal process/performance: *each session will culminate in a
   review performance of solo and ensemble material – giving the students a
   chance to demonstrate what they’ve learned – and to shine
   - *Broadway field trips:* students will have the opportunity to attend a
   Broadway show as well as to interact backstage with the actual Broadway
   cast members **
   -
   - *Backstage tours: *The field trips might include activities such as a
   backstage tour given by one of the company members, and/or a Q&A session
   with cast members***

***Broadway Sings Young Artists Program* tuition price does not include
admission to Broadway shows for field trips. Tickets will be purchased at
current box office prices. The field trip will be voluntary per show, and
not mandatory for all participating students.
