[Capdist-auditions] Albany Civic Theater Seeking Local Playwrights

Albany Civic Theater is looking for local playwrights for our annual
Playwright’s Showcase in July 2019!

Submissions for the *Playwright’s Showcase *should include a brief synopsis
and either a hard copy or online version of an original work, character
breakdown and any special production needs.  We will accept one-act plays
or one act of a longer play.  We also reserve the right to feature more
than one original work in the Playwright’s Showcase.

The production will include a simple set which is easily assembled and
disassembled.  Costumes should be easily appropriated.  The Playwright’s
Showcase is usually a staged reading, rather than a fully realized
production.

*For submissions, here is what you need to do:*

1.      Put your submission in a clean, 8 ½ x 11 inch manila envelope with
the words Playwright’s Showcase clearly printed on it.

2.     Mail a copy of the script of each submission for up to two
selections to:

3.       Include your name, address, email address and phone number on your
synopsis.

4.       Enter your submissions by *Friday, March 29, 2019.  *If you
prefer, you can email your submissions to kathrynweinberg1404 at gmail.com or
deliver them in person to the theater.  There is a mail slot located to the
left of the entrance doors.
