 TownPlayers of Pittsfield Holds Auditions for “And the Winner Is”  June 17, and 18 from630 - 9pm.    TownPlayers of Pittsfield announces its August production, and calls for auditions tobe in cast for for "And The Winner Is" writtenby Mitch Albom, anddirected by Kevin Paul Wixsom.  Show willbe presented August 16-18, and 23-25. 8pm on Friday and Saturday nights and 2pmon Sundays.  Auditions will be held in roomK-111 at Berkshire Community College on Monday June 17 and Tuesday June 18 from 6:30to 9 pm.  Seeking 4 men (20-60)and two women (20-40) for the roles.Sides from the play willbe provided for the auditions.           The play is a comicstory of Tyler Johnes, a self-obsessed movie star, who is finally nominated foran Oscar, then dies the night before the awards.  Outraged at his bad luck and determinedto know if he wins, (even though he'sdead,) he bargains with a heavenly gatekeeper to return to earth for the bignight.  Along the way, he drags hisagent, his acting rival, his bombshell girlfriend, and his ex-wife into thejourney, in a wildly twisting tale of Hollywood, the afterlife, and how we arejudged. Thisfully staged production will be held K-111, the “mini theatre” at BerkshireCommunity College, located at 1350 West St., Pittsfield MA.
