Auditions for the Sand Lake Center for the Arts' production of Bernard
Pomerance's The Elephant Man will be at the arts center, 2880 NY43, Averill
Park, at 7PM on Sunday, March 17 and Wednesday, March 20.  The Elephant Man
is a dramatization of the life of Joseph Merrick, a tragically disfigured
man who found sanctuary in the 1880s at a London hospital after an encounter
with a British surgeon, Dr. Frederick Treves.  Among its many awards was the
1979 Tony for best play.  Questions may be sent to the director, Eric
